A tribute to our aged care colleagues
In June, we bid farewell to our colleagues at our aged care home as we transitioned operations to Apollo Care, a national provider. This decision allows the home to grow and expand its much-needed services at The Bays Aged Care, enabling us to reinvest in initiatives like the Cancer Care Centre, advanced medical equipment, and new digital technologies.
In recent years, our team at Aged Care achieved so much including:
- a new 60-bed home
- navigating through a pandemic in very uncertain times
- a successful accreditation result
- the implementation of systems like AutumnCare and Medicate to improve the resident experience
- the annual family fun fair
- improved exercise regimes for the residents
We would like to thank Julie D'Arcy, Director of Aged Care Services and Nicola Douglas, Manager or Aged Care, for their leadership and ongoing commitment to making the home what it is today.
Both Julie and Nicola continue in their roles under Apollo Care, ensuring that our residents are cared for in the best possible way, while providing their staff with a wonderful place to work and learn.
We wish each and every one of our aged care colleagues the best of luck for a bright, healthy and happy future.
